By default,

  • Arm Away arms all cameras
  • Arm Home arms outdoor camera models, but not indoor
  • Standby disarms all cameras

You can modify those rules if you want.

I suggest reserving use of "Arm Away" for when you are actually away from home (say on vacation).  Then set up the system so that the cameras stay armed 24x7 when you put the system in "Arm Away", and switching between "Arm Home" and "Standby" when you are running the schedule.

These automations will arm the cameras during weekdays and disarm them at night and weekends:

Note the enable list (right under the automation name).  Both are set to "Arm Home, Standby".  That disables the schedule automations whan you change the mode to "Arm Away" on the dashboard when you go away.  When you return, you just set the mode back to either "Arm Home" or "Standby" and the schedule will resume.

Assuming you mean setting up schedules, the first question is whether you use Library to view recordings or Feed. The current apps support both interfaces so we need to know what you see so we can give the proper answer.

Do you want to arm and disarm all the cameras at the same time?  Or do you want the cameras to be on different schedules?
