Hi, I have had my wireless Arlo cameras and wireless base station since August last year.

Suddenly, yesterday, my cameras are not recording or sensing motion.  I have a black running man on each, the base station is armed and I am upto date with my app updates.  I can press live and the cameras are working.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Try power cycling the base. See if you can trigger recordings yourself by walking in front of the cameras.

same problem. starting april 1st I think., It started to notify me and all recorded traffic showed up with wrong time stamp, and all recordings semmed to stop sometime after.

I removed all recordings, logged in, opened one camera and did snap shot.  Library shows me this snap shot now on correct date with correct time stamp.  restarted by app, restarted by power.  Has 3 green LED's on LS of base station.

now when something triggers camers, it alarts me, but does not record any video in libeary.   1 camera brand new batteries, one still show full.

I changed nothing to cause this behaveur.

called tech support, they said something about it might have hosed up on a firmeware upgrade.  they told me to add device, add my basestation back in but it can't find it.  But I still can log in, attach to either camper, and take a snap shot and that snapshot appears in library.  just no video from motion sensor trigger is recorded.

Have you compared your firmware versions to those listed in the Release Notes section here?

If those match, try the reset again.  Use the reset button until the LEDs flash amber. Remove all devices in Settings, My Devices (it doesn't sound like you did this previously). Use the Add Device button in the Devices tab to add the base and sync the cameras. Check firmware versions again just to be thorough.  Be sure to note your settings and modes/rules before the reset so you can rebuild more easily.

Tried holding down reset button, yellow lights flashed.  Then removed all my 2 cameras and base station.

Added base station, continued to follow on screen directions, adding cameras did have to rebuild the schedule.

.

Still, if Trigger motion, it alerts me, if I open app, I can see last camera view in app, but no video recordings in portal.

But if I click live, take a picture, there is a picture with correct date and time stamp in portal

This all started same time release notes show 1.8.8.0_11528 was applied to my base station.

Called back tech support.

after talking to them, and the "expert" doing a lot of please hold, let me check this, etc, etc (reading flash cards I think) here is how it progressed.

1) Do bandwidth test?  30 up, 7.57 down using my laptop, wired to same switch that Arlo base station is plugged in mind you this did not change).

2) They told me to move camera  as it may be a reception issue. Mine you this worked for both cameras for 1 year, in same locations.  But now for this test they are sitting 2'-5' from base station since I had to bring them inside to relearn cameras to base station

3) 45 minutes, we are getting nowhere as person on phone keeps guessing.  I hate incompetency, so I explain I have to hang up now (I was getting is mad.)

so now I have $300 worth of junk?

well who ever read this and fixed it on the Arlo end, thanks for the help.  it mysteriously started working again around 8:30 eastern.

notfications are still delayed, but its always been that way.  (I bought this to notify me when UPS was at front door, but experence shows they can trigger camera, drop off box and be back in truck pulling out of driveway before I get notification.

Thanks, at least I am recording videos again.

If you want immediate notifications, use the push notifications with the app.  Email notifications are at the end of the video upload plus any delays in the email service.

Thanks. yes i use the push notification. it takes around 15 seconds most times for the push to hit my phone from time of triggering.

But it takes around 2 minutes until I can see the video.

Don't forget that the push notifications are instantaneous with the detection of motion bit the video has to be completely uploaded before it can be seen. The longer your recording time the longer before you can view it.
