We need more details as to what you've tried to do for the camera that won't connect to the Internet.  You can try opening and closing the battery door, using fresh batteries to ensure the camera is working properly. What does the LED on the camera show when closing the battery door as well as when you try to sync the camera to the base?

The lack of color in any videos means that the light level is too low for color.  The camera will automatically switch to black and white when the light level is too low.  You can test this by moving the camera to a location with better lighting.
