I recently added an Arlo camera to my back porch with the intent of watching the back door.  This is my 3rd camera added to the system.  Since I put it in I have received alot of alerts from the dog going back and forth on the porch.  I have looked at the various options but I am trying to find the most effective setting.

Goal to still be able to record when motion is detected.

Options:

  • Limit the number of notifications (I'm going to disable the push notification for that camera)
  • Disable the camera while home (GeoFencing, but it looks like it affects all of the cameras)
  • Scheduling (Thought about doing this, but I think it's all or nothing)
  • IFTTT (Still have to explore the options there

Create a new mode that is the same as what you have but the back door camera has notifications turned off and perhaps the motion sensitivity turned down.

Schedule your current mode for when you're away from home and the new mode for when you're home

Don't use geofencing at the moment IMO
