Want to buy a couple of extra cameras. Do I have to keep VMC3030 or can I add Pro 2 or 3?

Hi,
I want to buy a couple of extra cameras and I was wondering do I have to keep my current model (vmc3030) or can I add a pro 2 or 3?

Thank you in advance
Andrew

Your VMB3000 base station isn't compatible with the newer cameras.  It will support a Pro 2, but not the Pro 3. https://kb.arlo.com/000062284/What-is-the-difference-between-each-Arlo-SmartHub-and-base-station

You do have some options though.  You can purchase a new base - and either migrate your existing cameras to it, or just use two bases.  You can also get a Pro 4, which can be connected to your home wifi if you wish.

One thing to keep in mind:  The Pro 3, Pro 4, Ultra, and Essential cameras (and the video doorbells) all require paid subscriptions to get cloud recordings.  The Pro and Pro 2 both still have the 7 day free cloud storage.
