Cameras wil not record to library with "motion detection" on or when schedule is used. All cameras record to library using manaul mode either in video or snapshot. Several attempts at resetting system, changing settings on individual cameras doesn't fix problem. Current base station firmwre is 1.4.2695. Other post on this site indicate it shold be 1.8.???? How do you manually update firmware on base station. I am conncected to high speed internet connecttion through Comcast and uplaod speed is not the issue. So far I'm not impressed with this system. A lot of other are experienceing the same issues I'm having. WTF is wrong with Arlo to sell a system with such difficult setup procedures?

I tried precisely what you suggested overnight last night without success. Neihter hte base station nor cameras updated hte firmware. All firmware is the same as when I purchased new in the box.
Is this solution the only way teh firmware updates, if so it's a poorly designed and thought out.
Thank you for responding. I will be returning this product and find a better system. Arlo and Netgear need to come up with something better.

Mford,
Some Comcast users were having a DNS issue which could result in what you are describing. This issue has now been resolved. Are you still unable to receive updates?
