VMS3230C is the model we have, no choice for that on the drop down menu.
Hello, Could someone please clarify what router I would need to connect to. By what I mean specs please? i am assuming that I do not have to buy a Netgear router. Just need to know type, how big or strong, etc. Why can't I connect the base to the ethernet connection on the back of my comcast wireless modem? I am assuming the modem and router are two different devices that do different things. Sorry but, I don't mean to sound stupid, I am just not clear on the subject. We just don't have a router in our house just two modems.
Thanks!

Does the base not work if you plug it into the comcast modem/router?

Thank you for the reply.
We tried to plug the base into the ethernet port on the modem behind our tv and it did not work. We do have another modem where the signal comes in from comcast that has 4 available ehernet ports. We have not tried to connect the base to that modem. How far could the base be from the cameras? The second modem is in our family room mechanical closet downstairs.
Thank you!

The distance is variable depending on what's in between the camera and base. Obviously the closer and less obstructed the better. You could consider a range extender or long ethernet cable to locate your base station in the most central location in relation to the cameras. I actually went the extra step and got a Netgear Orbi mesh router and satellite. The base station is plugged into the satellite in a central location. This give the best camera performance but also the best whole home wifi performance. Dead wifi spots in the house are gone!
