Using Arlo with Arlo Q?

Hi, I've just purchased an Arlo Q camera which I'm very happy with. I'm looking into buying a second camera for better coverage. I was looking at the Arlo (smart home) add on camera, as it’s a bit cheaper than the Arlo Q. Would i be able to connect this to my network or do I need to purchase the base station to use his camera (as opposed to the Arlo Q which just connects to my wireless router)?

unfortunately you will need a base station to use the Arlo cameras...
