Upgrading to new Arlo app, motion sensor detects nothing on Arlo camera

With the app upgrade from legacy in September 2019, the Arlo cameras' motion sensor detects nothing. I can watch live and manually record, but that's it, so essentially, the security functionality is gone. What is Arlo doing about it? Everything worked fine with the legacy Netgear app.

That likely is a local problem. Do you have the latest app installed? Try rebooting the phone and reinstalling the app. It's working fine here.
