Updating Flash Player

Everytime I log on I get an orange message bar across the top teling me to update/upgrade my Flash Player.  It gives me a "click here" option to do so, and so I do but it never seems to update.  The message continues to appear each time.   Accessing via Windows 10 using Edge.  Are there any compatibility issues here?    I heard that Microsoft aren't big fans of Flash Player plugins and such.  Is that the problem?

Most of the time, playback issues come down to Flash....

I find that Fire Fox or Chrome on Win 10 works better

Edge uses Flash capability supplied from MS. Is your system completely up to date on all MS updates? Just tried Edge and I don't get the message.

Thanks for your suggestion.  Downloaded Firefox and gave it a shot and it works perfectly.

Thanks for your reply.  I'm sure I'm completely up to date.  My issue has been ongoing for a couple of weeks now, and I had a fairly large Windows update  a few days ago.

If you got the latest Creators update that could be the reason. I don't have it yet so can't comment on whether it breaks anything.
