I have 2 hubs (one for the car park and one for the internal areas) as well as several other cameras connected directly to the wifi/cloud. With new update, I can't arm/disarm one hub without arming/disarming the other hub or cameras at the same time. Similarly the only way to disarm an indivdual camera seems to be completely turning on/off individual camera(s) using the "Device on" slide.

I suspect there are MANY customers who may wish to arm/disarm individual cameras or hubs.

Is there a way to separate the hubs/cameras like before in Mode?
(I appreciate I can setup the "Arm Home" to deactivate one of hubs but this des not have the flexibility of the old "Mode" button)

Before it was simple to go to the modes and tap one button to turn a hub or individual camera off or on.

Thank you for your help.

I am right there with you. This is a major disappoint with the updated app.

The previous version made it extremely simple to arm/disarm individual camera's. For example, if I am working on the back patio, I could previously disarm that camera while still having the front door and driveway armed. It was a very simple toggle. Hopefully this is worked back into the app or I will need to look at other options for my camera's.

Note you can easily turn off the camera from the video settings screen.  While not quite the same as disarming the camera, it is close.

I disagree with it being "easy" in the new version of the app. I am looking at video settings, here are the options:

1) Video Resolution

2) Auto HDR

3) Video Brightness

4) Flicker Adjustment

The previous version had an easy way to turn off individual devices with a quick option.

Just this:

  1. Devices
  2. camera settings wheel
  3. device on/off control

So it’s not in video settings, as I previously replied.

now I followed your path: devices, wheels, ?? This is the screen when you go to devices and click the wheel.

I was able to find the an on/off switch by a similar path: devices, click on the individual camera screen, then click the wheel, but it also doesn’t seem to always work that way.

the bottom line is that simple functionality from the previous app is difficult in the new. There are too many hoops to jump through, and there are more clicks involved. You are a “super user” and it has taken multiple efforts to lay it out.

not great product design by the Arlo l

The current iPhone app shows the wheel for each device on the devices screen, so no need to select the camera first.  Android might not.

Also, Arlo doesn't provide an on/off for the doorbells - only the cameras. No idea why that is, it would be very handy to have that control.

Android works the same way.

this is terrible. you can no longer set an individual camera to on off at a specific time.  this is about as dumb as it gets for the app developers.  yes I can turn it off  but then I have to remember to turn it on.  I have one of 4 cams on tje inside to check on my sets and monitor the back door overnight.  I do not want it on the rest of the day as it would trigger anytime someone walks into the kitchen.  I had already signed up for a one year subscription but done with it after this stupid update.  butbtje freaking clock schedule back on with individual camera on off settings.   Def an ID 10 T  error

FWIW, that is something you can do.

Just remove the rule for the camera in the "Arm Home" mode.

Then create a schedule automation that switches to "Arm Home" in the morning, and a second automation that switches to "Arm Away" at night.
