Turning off firmware updates on VMB3010r2

I need help getting around the problem with the constantly recurring updates to the Arlo VMB3000. The only time I manage to update is when I move the base station to another network. It is not a sustainable solution since I have several miles to the nearest fixed home network. I dont want any updates, just turn the s*it off!!
