After not having used my arlo camera for a while I was now reinstalling it. I seem to remember having a setting where I could go into the app, just press play on the camera I wanted to look in and then it would start recording. But now I can not find that setting i.e. I dont want the motion detection on, i just want the camera to be active when I press play in the app. How do I find the settings? When choosing "mode" and "edit" the camera, the motion detection box is checked and there is no way of unchecking it as it seems (not with this computer anyway). I havev opted for the "do nothing" option if motion is detected - but will this save battery?

You can alway suse live view by clicking on the play triangle in the camera view. Then there's a manual record icon if you wish to recor what you're watching. To keep the camera from recording automatically, use the Mode tab,clcik on your base and choose the Disarmed mode.
