Trying to view motion at my business. Last recordings were hours ago? Takes time to upload?

I am trying to view motion that took place at my business.  The last recordings in my library are hours ago.  Does it take time for the videos to upload to the library and if so, how long.

Usu the videos don’t take longer than a min or two after recorded...

how do u know that the motion was detected?
