Trouble connecting an external HD to the back of arlo platform

Im having trouble after connecting an external HD to the back of arlo platform. how can I save or backup my libary to ext.hard drive with in the program

You can't, especially if the base is not a Pro base. The Pro base allows the use of USB drives to simultaneously record what's being sent to the cloud. The original base's USB ports are notg enabled.

If you plugged in a usb drive to the back of the base ,  and all is proper but still not seen, then reboot the base via the power button

 

BTW, you can't backup the library to the usb drive... it will only record the videos that the library gets from motion record .

In order to view any of the usb backup videos, you must properly eject the usb drive and then you can view the mp4 format contained from same
