at 5 seconds in "This video is not able to play in your browser. Please download to view." On at least half the videos.  I cleared the cache, rebooted the computer.  No Help

MS Edge will play them, so that is a workaround

They may be corrupted in some way that causes this, depending on the codec used. That's why VLC will play things nothing else will. If you download them, try various players to see if they barf at any point.
