The motion detection with my single camera seems to be sporadic. I have it turned up to the highest sensitvity pointed at the sidewalk in front of the hourse and it seems to miss big events. It regular catches cars at the edge of the frame, but at least twice it has missed my wife walking through the middle of the field of view without triggering a recording but has caught me every time I walk through. And today there is a recording of someone removing a trash can that blew onto the sidewalk, but no video of it actually winding up there. I get, and expect, dozens of videos a day the way it is positioned, but if it is missing actual events then it seems pretty worthless. Any thoughts? Is the fact that it is getting so many activations everyday affecting it somehow?

Most common mistake I see in installs is trying to cover to large an area.

The PIR on the Arlo detects people at a max of about 20ft ( cars are a large reflective surface for IR so get picked up further away )

So, limit the coverage, try to set it up so traffic is across the field of view, and remember that the Arlo pirs are more sensitive at the edges..

If you can post a pic of what you trying to get, many will offer better tips for install.
