Hi

I've just bought 3 Arlo cameras for outside and I'm starting to get to grips with them apart from trying to work out the best sensitivity settings.

The 2 issues I've encounter so far is that it seems very slow to detect someone. For example I have a camera pointed at my car, my partner can walk up to the car get in and drive off and the camera will only capture the car at the end of the drive. (sensitivity on 80)

Another is I seem to miss some clips where as my partner seems to get all of them. I've tried rebooting the box but that hasn't done anything.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Turn the sensitivity up to 100. When you get false alerts more frequently than every 30 minutes, turn the sensitivity down 1. Find the sweet spot for sensitivity to record what you need it to record and minimise false alerts.

Position the camera so that the motion crosses the field of view. PIR motion sensors don't work well when the heat signature moves towards or away from the camera. This is the same for any PIR sensor including house alarm wired sensors
