I cannot get the computer to discover my device nor can I get the system to reset. I have tried resetting it with both the reset and sync button and just the rest button. I am about to lose my mind or clobber my husband :). Please help. Thanks

First the reset is hold the RESET for ten secs till the front LED flash.
Did you bring the base in as a Add A DEVICE after logging in to the account?
What are the front LEDs showing ( left to right )

Thanks for your response. Not quite sure what you mean by adding the base station as a device. Heck, not even sure if I am logged into the right place. Front LED right now show a solid green power, flashing green router, a symbol I don't recognize that is not lit, a house icon not lit and the for the lack of a better term, usb symbol flashing green.

The left three are important...
1- POWER
2- INTERNET connection
3- Sync camera
1 is always green except when base is rebooting
2 is green when the base is connected to the internet
3 goes green with one sync cam or more
You first log into you account at https://arlo.netgear.com/
If not start a new account
then add the base as a new device
