Setting up a camera at a site without internet (using my phone as hotpsot)

Relax. I know it doesn't work without an internet connection. What I'm wondering is if I can connect it to the internet using a phone (Samsung Galaxy S8) with a 5 Mbps upload. Trying to secure a construction site where internet is not yet set up. I would install the app on another phone to monitor it. Sorry if this is an utterly stupid question.

Assuming you mean you want to set up a whole system using a hotspot, yes. If the hotspot doesn't have an Ethernet port (a phone doesn't), you will need a WiFi extender that's connected to the hotspot and the base will connect via Ethernet to the extender. That will work fine.
