Hello,
I was quite happy with Arlo stuff but since I started to really care about control, privacy, obsolescense, I'd be really glad to hear some news from Arlo regarding this.

We buy hardware first, not some kind of service or subscriptions, and typically, Arlo cameras are simple bricks if they stop to support the model you own. These devices are powered locally, they run on our private network, use our paid internet subscriptions to transmit data to a third party that, even if they do provide the service, don't provide a total access on our data, worse being we don't have access to the original one before it's encrypted and sent to said remote servers.

So please work on an "off-grid"/advanced mode on your devices, I bought them, It has all the hardware to work on its own, I should own the right to do whatever I want with it. I'm bored to see e-waste stuff around my home because company-x stopped supporting it and doesn't provide a way to revive a totally fine piece of hardware without having to spend days scrapping electronic parts and re-building it myself. Even cheap chinese "fake" brands which are reselling rip-offs of already dead brands makes more convenient stuff (as long as you put them on isolated networks...)
