We switched from the basic plan to the Premier Monthly, 30-day, 10 GB plan starting 2/22/15.  From the description of the plan, we were expecting to have access to 30 days of history, or 10 GB, whichever comes first.  To date, our window for recording history access is still only 7 days.  We are nowhere near reaching the new 10 GB limit (the scale for memory storage amount did update from 3 to 10 GB).  Is there some kind of setting that we need to adjust in order to have access to recordings further back in history to include the entire 30 days (or at least 30 days beginning 2/22/15)?

Good morning McMark,

This is a great question! Upgrading to a paid service level will allow you to retain your existing library content for 30 or 60 days and allow you to recover content that has been moved to the recycle bin due to the Basic service level provision of 7 days.

Now that you have Premier service you may also consider how best to use the "Manage Storage" feature in the "Settings" under "Preferences". This feature will automatically move non-favorited content to the recycle bin to assist you in managing the storage amount. If you'd rather keep all your content (favorite or otherwise) in the library be sure this feature has been turned off.

One last thing to note: favorite and non-favorite content will be moved to the recycle bin after the time period (7, 30, 60 days) depending on your service level. I recommend downloading your "favorited" content to a local storage device prior to the expiration date for future reference.

Please let me know if you have any additional question about storage.

Best Regards,

Christine

Yeah, the default should be set for 30 days of recording, not 7.   I wasn't aware of this either after becoming a "premier annual" member.  It's counter intuitive to turn a feature "off".

I don't see a preference tab under the setting page. Can someon tell me how to have Arlo delect oldest videos automatcially to free up memory. I am currently on the 30 day, 10gb plan. Thanks.

FYI, there is no longer a space limitation for any plan. Hence, you now have a 30 day plan - that's it. Don't sweat disk space.

How are you looking at the videos?  Are you using the Library tab?  Is the filter icon ("funnel") at the top colored in or blank?  If colored in, click on it and reset the filter.  Save and try viewing again.
