Hello new user here! Just got my Arlo connected. Nice device. I live in a 1100 sf apartment so WiFi is great overall but any way to improve the signal of the doorbell?

Seems I get a delay between the doorbell button pressed and when my phone start to ring. Or when I speaking to someone from my phone I notice speech delays between both parties. I have the chime device too and that works almost instantly which is handy

Would a WiFi booster be best for this case?

Check your WiFi signal at the doorbell using a WiFi signal app on your phone. The construction of the building as well as the mounting surface can block the signal to the point of causing these problems. Other wireless devices (WiFi or not) that are nearby (you do live in an apartment, of course) can interfere with the signal so choosing a different channel in your router's setup may help. The WiFi app would be useful for helping to determine if that's a good idea.

The WiFi extender could also be a solution if placed near the doorbell so it gets the best possible signal.

Is the doorbell located at the apartment door, or is it further away?

The construction might be blocking the wifi.  As @jguerdat suggests, measuring the wifi speed at the doorbell location would be useful.  You can use the Ookla Speedtest app on your phone - making sure you turn off mobile data during the test.
