Hi hallo! We just moved into a new house and the previous owner left behind a couple cameras (arlo pro 3 fb1001), a doorbell, and a smart hub (VMB5000 NA). We would love to access them if possible. I am not super security/camera savvy, any help is appreciated! Thank you.

You can do this if the previous owner removed the cameras from their account.

Start by

  • installing the Arlo app on your phone
  • creating an Arlo account
  • resetting the smarthub with a paperclip
  • using the app (or my.arlo.com on a PC) to add the smarthub to your account

If this works (showing an on-line status for the smarthub) we can proceed to the next steps.

It would be helpful to know

  • what model doorbell you have
  • whether you have the Arlo cabling for the floodlight

It is useful to have a 2 mm hex wrench, as that is needed if you want to take the floodlight off the mount.  But you can remove the camera body from the housing without that.
