Hi Everyone. I have a few Arlo cameras outside and images are showing up initially over exposed, making them worthless. For instance, when they detect motion they will take a picture and email the picture to me. It is way over exposed (whited out). The videos that are recorded have their thumbnails in the library as over exposed as well. When I plat the videos, they all start over exposed but then turn out OK. Any ideas what is wrong?

Hello shopkins1994,

Is there any possible way you can post a picture to give me a example?

Hi David. Here are two pictures. One pointing at my garage, one pointing at the front of my house, and one at the front of some windows.

Good morning shopkin1994,

One thought I have is that the camera's ability to determine the proper exposure is impacted by the reflection of the snow. For good measure, I have opened a support case for you and will work with our engineering team to see what could be causing the a delay in the exposure convergence.

If I need to speak with you directly, can you please send me a private message with your phone number?

Thanks for your contribution to the Arlo Community!

Best Regards,

Christine
