I recently purchased 4 camera's and set them up in my house, however there has never been a sound icon, and no sound. I have reset camera's and re downloaded the app with no help.

what model cameras and base did you purchase? The original Wire Free HD cameras did not come with built in speakers. Those model numbers start with VMB 30xx or VMC 30XX. Turn the camera over to see if there are speaker holes in the bottom of the camera.
