I can't find a way in the latest release to create custom modes.  There are only arm away, arm home and standby.   I need to modes for home, one for daytime and one for nigh, but with the latest update my custom modes for this were deleted.  Is there any way to do what we could do with custom modes?

Unfortunately, no. A big miss on Arlo's part.  I suspect they are working on a fix (ideally putting back custom modes in some form).

You can modify the three built-in modes (including standby), but you cannot create more.

So you could

  • arm all cameras in "Arm Away" and reserve that for when you are away (and don't want the schedule to kick in)
  • configure "Arm Home" for night (even if that ends up the same as "Arm Away").
  • configure "Standby" for daytime (even if that arms some cameras)

Then schedule "Arm Home" and "Standby".

If standby arms some cameras, then the only ways to disarm them would be to turn them off in the video settings, or temporarily modify the standby mode.
