Hello,

Did you figure out what was wrong?  we are having exactly same issue, neither wireless cameras work at night.  They are completely black, but motion detection at night still work that triggered video to be recorded, but they are completely dark thus useless.

They used to work perfectly till we have to relocate, so we packaged them and reinstalled them at the new house, that is when night vision stopped working.  We have tried delete them from Arlo app, then resync, nothing worked so far.

It is just strange they stopped working right after we moved them to a different location.

What device are you using to view these recordings. Did you view the video on the Mobile App or the web browser?

We tried both but they are totally black on the app and on the website.

I tested it and found out it worked fine if the object is about one foot away, the object shows clearly in the camera live view in a very dark room.  Once the object is moved more than 1 foot away, the camera will no longer be able to show it in live view, it is just black on the live view.

Are the dull red LEDs on the camera lighting up?

Yes, the red night vision light comes on as expected each time when the room brightness is lowered, and images on the live view will turn black and white.  The problem is when the room is very dark, the images will turn almost totally pitch black, even though the red night vision light is on.  We bought a separate night vision illuminator of 850 nm, it doesn't help at all, images are still totally black like before.

Thanks for looking into this!

Thanks for the detailed info - that's something a lot of folks don't do/provide. I would open a case with support here for faulty hardware.
