Same problem, I can't get past setup. Tried hard reset, New Nighthalk router, Ipnone on same router. 3 lights on, reinstalled app. It just sucks! Trying to keep an eye on my new puppy. If i click on Arlo Q, it lets me progress. Thats what I wanted to buy, but not sold in retail stores in Canada yet. Trump!

Are you getting an error message? What are you encountering that is preventing you from completing setup? When you say you did a hard reset, were you following these instructions: How can I reset my Arlo base station to the default values?

From the beginning. I purchased a new AC 1900 Nighthawk router and Arlo 2 camera kit. I removed old router and installed new router. We have 3 Iphones 3 tablets and desktop. All devises hooked up great. Then i followed the Quick Install for the base station. I downloaded Arlo app, to my Iphone. Powered up base station, synked the 2 cameras. All 3 lights green. No issues. Then I open the App and clicked on setup, choose New System, it thinks for about 2 minutes, then goes to setup page, thats as far as I can go. It doesn't auto populate ID#. Re- tried. So then i spent time reading through the QA's looking for solutions. The unit is brand new, unopened box. So I read about reboot. Push and hold sync and reset button, unit blinks amber after 10secs. Restarts and 2 green lights on unit are solid green, showing power and internet. Then I tried to just sync 1 camera which it does. All 3 green lights solid. Go to the app. New Setup click on base station, runs the checking devise, then goes to page and it shows setup."Connect Your System to the internet" From there I can only go back, no errors. Just cant move forward. So I started all over. Removed App and re-downloaded App. Spent several hours reading and searching forum. Printed user manual. Re - booted base station, Started over, following manual instructions. It goes to Discovering Your Device page, hangs there, then goes to "Connect Your System to the internet" page. Thats as far as I can go. Note, when I'm at work, away from home, on the set up page, at the bottom, it says, Start Set Up. I don't see this when I'm at home, using my Iphone. I hope you can give me some help. I have read and tried. Several hours. I wanted to add a Arlo Q to my system for indoor monitoring. Hoping to get what I have working first. Thanks James.

Problem resolved. I was trying to set up from my Iphone, I could not get it to work. Went to my desktop, To Arlo.com, went to setup, everything went good from there. Then I tried Iphone App, works fine as well. Not sure why I could not set up from Iphone?

I am glad to hear you were able to resolve the issue. If your phone was not connected to your network and was operating on it's data connection that would explain why it was unable to find the Arlo Base Station. I just ran through the setup process using an iOS device on WiFi and had no issues discovering a new base station.

What is the behavior of the internet LED on the base station? Where are you seeing the message "Connect your system to the internet" (How far in the setup process are you getting before encountering a problem)? Please let us know!
