I reside in Japan and purchased this system 2 days ago. Setup was fast and Initially the videos on motion worked fine. However, within an hour of setup as I was placing the cameras in there respected location the video recording seems to have stopped working along with the email notifications. 

Motion is detected as I'm still getting push notification......but no footage is being recorded....

I have not been able to replicate the issue you describe. Have the videos/emails shown up since you were having the issue? Are you still seeing this behavior?
