When I just opened the app today, it asked if I wanted to “upgrade”. I clicked yes. Now I can’t get the system to do what was doing.
1) Is there a way to get back to the old app ?
2) If not, how do I make a schedule that turns on the cameras at a certain time and turns them off at a certain time. I don’t need the cameras on all day when I am home, it will drain the batteries. The old app was super easy to do this, now it looks like the new app will add that feature sometime in the future.

No. To clarify, this is not really an app update. The app has supported both user interfaces for 3 years now. Arlo just changed a setting on their servers that controls which interface you see. They are dropping the old interface as soon as they get everyone off of it. If you hadn't chosen to "upgrade" now, they would have silently migrated you later on.

Create two schedule automations. One switches the system to "Arm Home" mode when you want to turn the cameras on. The second switches the system to "Standby" mode when you want them turned off.
Then go into settings for the three modes. Make sure the two automations are enabled in Standby and Arm Home - but are not enabled in Arm Away.
When done, the schedule will run whenever the system is in Arm Home or Standby mode. If you manually switch to Arm Away, the cameras will be armed 24x7 until you manually switch to one of the other modes.
