I installed a 3 camera setup and purchased a brought a 4th camera. From initial installation the 3 cameras purchased in the kit show 1 red bar however the 4th stand alone unit shows full charge. Despite indicating low batt the 3 cameras have been working OK for a week. I noticed firmware upgrades and attempted to download however the firmware won't install on the 3 cameras that came as a set. The individual/additional 4th camera however did accept and upgrade the firmware version. The original firmware is version 1.1.2074 and the additionally purchased camera is using firmware version 1.2.2688. All cameras are hardware VM3030. Question; did I receive a bad batch of 12ea batteries in the kit or is the low battery indication something to do with the firmware?

The good news is the firmware version of the 3 cameras is old and was prone to bad battery level reporting.

The bad news is those cameras should have upgraded automatically to the new firmware version.

There are various posts on the forum giving instructions on how to force the cameras to upgrade the firmware.
