I recently purchased the Arlo refurbished complete system I had an option to buy a new one or refurbished complete Arlo 3430 kit. When the product arrived I received everything but the outside camera mount I called Netgear and they told me that Mike it did not come with it when I try to log back into my Netgear vuezone account where I purchase they would not allow me to get back in..

I asked them to please send me the missing Mount and they told me that it was not part of the package we are still in a dispute is anybody else having the same issue

To my knowledge, none of the camera kits come with external screw in mounts... they only supply the "half-ball" mounts that can be used in or out.

Hi TomMac,

That's the item I'm speaking of half-ball mount. They never see sent me that with the kit.

Thank you

I just got my Arlo system installed to replace my Vuezone, and re-used the same camera mounts.  But the range is not as good as my old Vuezone, with the base and cameras in the exact same locations.  I have a camera in my garage, but the Arlo signal is too weak to connect.  Can you send me a range booster or did you mislead me about this being an upgrade?

You can reposition the base via a longer Ethernet cable or by using a WiFi extender.  A second base station is also a possibility.  Positioning of the base is important for signal strength - even a few inches can make a big difference.

I raised the base station from floor level (where I had the Vuezone base) to a shelf about 6 feet up, and that did improve the signal strength.

Now my concern is battery life.  After only two days, two cameras are at 70%, one is at 90% and the fourth is at 93%.  They were all at the factory default (optimized battery & video), so I set them all for maximum battery life (poorer video).  How long should these batteries last?  At this rate they won't last a week!  And with four batteries per camera, this will be a very expensive and bothersome system to maintain!

Try power cycling the base. Sometimes it's just a display issue.
