NEED TO UPDATE THE APP. This is maddening and ridiculous.

My is in House is in a cell dead zone, so when I get home, I put my phone in airplane mode and turn on the WIFI to allow me full access to calling and internet.
However, the ARLO APP plasters a big RED BANNER that says: "No Internet Connection, Please check your connection" across all menus/screens. The app is very much connected to the internet via WIFI, and is fully functional. The banner is triggered not by any lack of internet, but by selection of Airplane mode.
How can you be an app developer in 2025 and not understand WIFI?
Seriously, Arlo. This is straight up corny.
Fix this mess.

I get that, too. It's indeed ridiculous how seriously underdeveloped this new app is. It's beyond embarrassing.

Same here. Triggered by "Airplane Mode". But the App behaviour is the same as always.
No problem browsing the internet over WIFI.
Have disabled 5GHz, clean 2.5GHz just to be sure, with no effect.
I have access to the hub, can see live feed and change settings, so the connection is still there, and just as glitchy as usual. Glitchy in a creepy un-randomly kind of way (think you have to be an engineer with a background in statistics to see that, but it is there, with or without tinfoil hat).
When i look for my locally stored recordings (USB drive in hub) i can see the recordings are there, but nothing happens when i click them, except "Arlo App" quickly (when i am waiting) reminds me, that it is much faster accessing recordings when they are located in the cloud???...
Accessing a network drive directly through your local network as the only user will always be faster than communicating with a server on the other side of the earth, alongside 1mill other users. Either is the USB bandwidth on the hub extremely slow or this is done deliberately to pi.. me off.
Since it has worked before showing fast response time over local network i have to conclude this is intentional, and the red banner is just the latest prank/gimmick.
Some of my cameras have subscription plans but not all is that why??
Have an old Arlo Pro 2 system at another location that has no problems, when i am local i just shuffle through the locally recorded videos. It never hangs it is always responsive, with an old hub and no subscription.
