My wireless ARLO has been working just fine for a couple of months and all of a sudden it continually disconnects from the base station (48935C77A33C5) and needs to be reset. I must go outside and press and hold the button on top of the unit untill the blue and then amber blinks. Then it is fine for a while.

Seems like this has begun happening shortly after the recent software update. Software version is 2.0.2.732_11731.

CGReed,

This could be due to range or interference causing the camera to struggle to maintain communication with the base station. Be sure the camera has good WiFi signal strength.

If you have more than one camera, try swapping locations with an unaffected camera to see if the issue is with where the camera is located.

Thanks for that, but I just have one camera and it is less than 10 feet from the base station. And we  have a strong WiFi signal,

CGReed,

What is indicating that it disconnects from the base station? Are you receiving an error message or does the camera widget disappear entirely from the interface? Is the camera still in Settings > My Devices when you experience this issue?

The camera status continually disconnects. The message is simply "Your camera is not connected."

We have a new modem and a new Netgear router. The only way I can get it back on line is to press the camera button to resync it.

I had the same issue... I still get the disconnect occasionally, but the camera now reconnects automatically.

This is what I changed on my Asus router.

2. 4ghz only
N mode only
20 mhz only not 20/40
Changed name of wireless network to only letters, no space, special characters or numbers.

Been working fine for at least 4 days... Prior to that I had to do what you did once every other day

Thanks. I have a different router, but maybe I will experiment with mine.

HOORAY!

All is good with the connection issue. About 3 weeks ago while signed on a mesage came on indicating the Camera was being updated.

After that update it has not once gone off line.

Also, interestingly my battery level had been about 50%. After the update it jumped to 98% and has slowly (normally) dropped to about 88%

Battery gauge was one of the issues addressed in the SW update
