I haven't installed the the system yet because of this question. My internet and phone for the home is through ATT Homebase, which runs off the cell towers. So that has it's own wifi. My Mac Mini has wifi. My router has wifi which I can't leave on as it screws up the HomeBase wifi if I leave it oon. So that is on anly to watch Netflixs. Then it's shut off. Adding the Arlo base will create another wifi. Is this too many wifis? And the ethernet port on my Mac Mini is free. So can I plug the base directly to my computer? Or does the Arlo have to be connected to a router.

I would buy a WiFi extender that connects to your Homebase. Then plug the Ethernet cable from the base to the extender. You can't connect to the computer - it has to be to a network piece.
