Arlo Wire-Free camera motion detection sensitivity has been turned up to 100% in both the base setting and camera settings. Using the motion detect option in the camera settings, my cameras have horrible people detection abilities. I have one pointed at a 25' driveway and while it will pick up cars in the street behind the driveway, it will not pick up a person in the driveway trying to open the doors of cars in the driveway.

I can walk the full circumference of the driveway within plain view of the camera and it will not motion detect. The live view shows every movement, but motion detect never triggers. I watched my neighbors, on the live view app, walk up my driveway to say hello and it didn't detect them. This is true for side to side approaches and straight on approaches.

The other camera points down a walkway to the front door 20' away. It will not detect motion until within 10' and then start recording. By the time the lag clears and the camera begins recording, someone walking from the front door has already left the frame and I'm left with a recording of nothing. Also, this camera will not pick up someone approaching the front windows 15' away and from the side of the camera. I can walk from the side directly and then turn and walk to under the camera and finally to the door without being detected until almost to the door.

I don't understand why the cameras are not picking up people movements. Both cameras are installed 7' from the ground and point down at an angle to capture full, but concentrated views. One of the driveway only and the other of the front walkway / front window. Neither capture movement less than a car's size.

Sounds like your trying to cover to much area... the Arlo PIR sensor works on IR or the refelction of same ( which is why cars are picked up far away )

But, for people, the max range for the sensor is about 20ft +/-

I wish that were the case. One camera covers a standard 2 car driveway and the other the walkway and front window of the house.

This morning it didn't detect me walking down the walkway nor getting in the car, parked in the driveway, and driving off.

At 100% sensitivity, it can't even detect a body moving across the driveway.

the only issue I really have is this. I have them per instructions but most the time only get the trash truck driving by. I sure wish I could use them outside.

Again, post screenshots.  Without any knowledge of how the camera is mounted it's impossible to provide an accurate answer.

Limit the scene viewed by the camera (don't include the street). Motion is best detected across the FOV, not at the camera, starting at or near an edge.  The Pro cameras do have better detection than the orginals.
