Do you see "Feed" and "Dashboard" in your app menu?  Or do you instead see "Library"?  (actions you can take depend on the answer).

I see Dashboard and Feed.

BTW, This process is foreign to me (conversing in this way, hard for us old dogs to learn new tricks) and having to inch my way through. also, the guidance, white text in a Green background is very hard to read.

Ok.  The older "Library" interface had a feature called "Custom Modes" that would let you do what you want.  But the newer "Feed" interface doesn't have that feature yet fully working yet.  So today you are limited to the three built-in modes (Arm Away, Arm Home, and Standby).

The best option now is to set up one of those built-in modes (for example Arm Home) to use a less senstive motion threshold. Unfortunately, that is limiting if you also are trying to set up a schedule.

Are you using a PC browser?  If so, which one?

RE: white font in a light (but bright) green field; on both my iPad and MAC Book.

Also, I was viewing a Arlo camera capture a 3 or 4 times and when I went back later to show my wife the video, it was gone, like it never existed. / Jeremy

Are you talking about the app (and my.arlo.com)?

Or are you talking about the forum?

Does it help if you switch the iPad to dark mode in the Apple settings?

This was a recorded video?

A couple of possibilities here:

  • Recordings are deleted when the retention period is reached
  • If you set up a filter in the Feed, that remains in effect until you change it.  That can be confusing, if you forget to undo it.
  • It is of course possible to delete recordings by swiping left.
