Have been having issues for 2 weeks trying to get a decent angle that works. It will catch cars all day long on the road ,but not if you pull in or out if my driveway. Also it will not pick up motion from the bottom right(side yard) to the front door. I have messed with sensitivity from a range of 80 down to 40 to keep from getting road but doesn't help.

Picture not visable yet, must be approved.

But you prob should be avoiding the roadwy completely... cars are a big reflector of IR and IR is what the camera uses to detect motion.

For people, the PIR device is good for a max of 20ft, rtraffic/travel accross the FOV is what you really want for best response.

Thanks for the reply, hard to tell without a picture hah,but really I don't have much of a choice of not getting the road unless I crop it in the app. We have such a tiny front yard and it's newer construction and have no trees that I can change the angle toward my hose. We had someone steal a brand new backpack blower out of my garage while I was in the back cutting grass which is what prompted the camera purchase ,so I am looking to record the front door and garage .

Picture good now...

Cropping the picture prob won't help as the PIR covers the entire FOV.

You will have to maybe angle it down or turn in a bit or move it, above the garage door off to side?

maybe on your light pole if able to hide or inside of the garage itself facing out ...sometimes location can be difficult.

I use a small piece of black plastic electrical tape to mask the PIR so road motion doesn't get detected.
