I have my cam setup outside on top my patio stairs. When someone walks up, the cam is only turned on about 10 ft away from it. If someone runs, by the time the cam activates, the person had already gone up stairs with no footage. I tried changing the settings to 100% but with this, every litte movement of the trees gets captured and the distance is almost the same, 10 ft before it records.
I was thinking to have another cam downstairs to trigger the one upstairs and vice-versa. Both will be active once one cam is triggered.
Can this be done?

That can be accoplished by setting up Rules in your system. e.g. If camera A detects motion record on Camera B

But I would like to activate both cameras when motion is detected by one. In the Rules, you can only activate one cam if motion is detected by the other.

How are rules set for 2 cameras? I have 2 cameras: one outside and one inside. When the outside camera detects, the library picture is from the inside camera?

If I am reading it right:
Camera "A:" = Top Patio Stairs
Camera "B" = Downstairs
(screen shot from My system)
I just tested it: and it works when you set up multiple rules in a MOD.
Camera A (Garage) will record if Camera B (Patio) detects motion.
Camera A (Garage) will record if Camera A (patio) detects motion.
You can even add two addtional rules if you wanted (overkill) but it works:
Camera B (patio) will record if Camera A (Garage) detects motion.
Camera B (patio) will record if Camera B (pation detects motion.
am I missing something?............

I tried clicking on two options in the "Then do the Following" but it wont let me. I can do 1 camera to record and one camera to detect. I want 2 but somehow I can't.

Add the first camera to you custom mode and then save... Go back and EDIT that mode to add the next rule/camera
