Every time I want to turn the light on for more than 5 minutes (default), I need to go into each camera I want to put the light on and then switch the light settings to always on. And even after doing this, the light will go out and setting reverted. Configurations don't persist past a day at max. Extremely dangerous when working and expecting to be in a lighted area!

 

Could we get a fix for this? If you can't store configurations, at least let me change the default so when its reset, it's my preferred setting. Come on now. Tried getting in touch with support via chat, but can't get past your firewall (I mean bot assistant).

It's likely worth doing the remove/reset/reinstall process to see if that makes a difference:

Thanks for the reply, but factory reset has been performed many times. The issue is not new, its been persistent, and seemingly getting worse (resets quicker).

I also have an Arlo Floodlight Camera which is wired in and constantly defaults to the 5 minute setting. I set the camera to stay on for one minute on the my.arlo.com portal, and ensure that all of my devices are set to 1 minute in the app but the device still resets itself to the 5 minute duration. Is there any fix to this?

Can you please let me know what device you are using? Wired Floodlight Camera

Is it the app as well as the browser that you see this behavior? Don't quite understand. The light setting can be set in either, both of which produce the same behavior.

Can you tell me what firmware you are on as well? latest.. 1.7.1_468_d45b6b1

And if you wouldn't mind can you please send logs: No thank you. I have five devices, all purchased at different times and are all up to date. The behavior is the same across all five and is highly reproducible.

Another gripe is that the light will be turned off each time you end a live view.

The logs help out development team look into the behavior you are experiencing further.

It's not specific to any device and highly reproducible.

Here are the steps to replicate:

1. Turn light settings to something other than 5 minutes.

2. Wait

3. Return to light settings (will be reverted to 5 minutes).

 

Someone else has already confirmed this.
