It's 2:20am in Los Angeles Saturday March 10th. None of my library videos from 7 hours ago can be played. For each 10-second video, a counter-clockwise "buffering" indicator on the play button is visible with no still image. This all worked 8 hours ago when I reset the base station and reset all of my cameras. Also it now takes 40 seconds to view a live feed from a camera that is only 2 meters away from the base station. This is beyond frustrating. After enduring a global outage just 2 days ago, now this. I am seriously thinking of switching to a hard-wired system that uses a local NVR without cloud service nonsense.

@BetaUser3000

I can't help you as mine are working well on my iPhone 6. I do have a very fast internet, though.

I noticed that there was an update this morning for ios users. maybe that had something to do with it.

The distance between the base camera and the router doesn't matter as these are cloud based.

The wired system would be more reliable, but without cloud recording, if your NVR was stolen, you would have no evidence.

Thanks for the info Brian. It's 7:40am, I can now play all of my videos in my library. The still image for each 10-second video comes up quick. It now takes 7 seconds to get a live feed from the same camera that took 40 seconds to get a live feed 5 hours earlier. Not sure what happened 5 hours ago when I couldn't play any videos in my library using the Android app. I restarted my phone too before I gave up and went to sleep.

I just read that a local USB storage on an Arlo Pro base station can be configured in conjunction with the cloud storage. So in the event the cloud servers are down, the manual and auto recordings are stored on the local USB device. I think I will go buy a single Arlo Pro camera with Arlo Pro base station and move my four 1st gen Arlo cameras to the new Arlo Pro base station so five cameras can use a local USB hard drive up to 2TB.

Here's the community post on this subject...
