I'm installing a system with arlo cameras and a netgear base. This was given to me by a friend because she no longer uses it. After the base is located, it begins to look for firmware updates. The process continually gets stuck at this point. I've left it for over 20 minutes and it doesn't advance. IMG_5379.jpg

Are you sure the other person has removed the base from their account...?

If som then do a reset of base ( hold in reset for about 10 secs till the front leds flash ), then attempt again

I did do the reset, but I didn't even consider that she hasn't removed the base from her account. Thank you!

She doesn’t remember the email address she used for her account so she can’t deactivate it. She’s tried all the email address she has. I can buy a new base and it will work with the cameras right?

Hi @lesliegirl,

You can purchase a new Base Station and sync it to your cameras (as long as the cameras have also been removed from the account). But let me gather more information from you so I can try helping you out with removing the Base Station from your account.
