I just bought an Arlo , and and it does not work through glass. Suggestions?

My new Arlo does not detect motion through glass.  If I mount it outdoors it will be smashed.  Suggestions?

How do you know it will be smashed? Clever positioning would be useful. The wireless cameras will never work through glass since glass blocks the IR needed.

The only camera that WILL WORK thru glass is the Arlo Q camera ... it has pixel-based detection ( sees changes in picture )
