I am planning to buy one in US and send it to India? Will the app work as it does here(I am ok with basic plan)

unless one of the experts knows better, the system should work anywhere but you may need a different power supply for the base station since USA uses 110v and India uses 220V and may have problem with the warranty if its for US only and not worldwide.
