Hello

I am having an issue administering Arlo camera from iOS.

I have used Arlo from a web browser (Safari on Mac)  without issue.

However the Arlo App on iPhone and iPad (iOS 11) started having issues. I can no longer change record times (the slider is greyed out) on some cameras but can on others.  If I change the record time via web browser the new record time is not reflected iOS app.

i have deleted/re-added Apps without success

So using a web browser - All is A-OK

Using iOS app - some settings can no longer be changed and/or may not report current values correctly.

This seem to have begun after there was a server outage at NetGear two days ago. Maybe that is just a coincidence.

Anyone know what is causing this?

thanks

Al

Well I was able to get this to work. Not sure if this is a bug, feature, pilot error or whatever.

Turns out the the camera I could not change recording length from iOS was a "new" camera that with default settings (10s for recording). Once I changed the recording length via a web browser the iOS slider bar for recording magically ustuck itself.

Maybe this is a one-off or a persistant issue but at least it now works.

alcat,

Consider rebooting your base station (using the on-off button), allow the base station to come back online and try again. Do you still see the same behavior?

Thanks .. if the problem returns I will try rebooting the base.

It seems changing the default recording time via the browser somehow unstuck the slider bar in the App.

Maybe a coincidence? Maybe not? But at least this is working again.

thanks again
