I have the regular wifi outdoor cameras. My router and base station are in the back of the house and the cameras are in the front. I am wondering if I get a long eithernet cord and move the base station to a cental location would moving the base station increase the wfi strength?

My thought and understadning of the system is the cameras get the wifi signal from the base station so, moving that closer it should work better

Is there anyone that can confirm that?

That's exactly correct.  Note that you could also use a WiFi extender to do the same thing (relocate the base) if that's more appropriate to your situation.

Thank you, it is a lot cheaper to do a 150 foot eithernet chord vs, the $100 dollar wifi extender that I will still need the same eithernet chord.

Thank you!
