I've tried reading the FAQs and some of the previously answered questions, but I'm really confused. Is there somewhere a clear explanation of the relationship among modes and rules and cameras and schedules? The Arlo video starts off very clearly, but when it comes to describing the behaviour of each camera and the on/off timing, I can't follow it. I don't expect anyone to answer this with a detailed explanation, but surely there must be somewhere that this has been explained all the way through.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks TomMac!
Your instructions clarified things for me and everything seems to be set up correctly now...a great help! One thing I might add to your instructions is that after dragging the modes to the schedule, you must return to the main Mode screen and click on the circle to the left of "Schedule". Otherwise, you will remain in the default "Armed" mode.
Thanks again for taking the time to write that up...

first read above as to create a mode.
then if say you have a cam inside and one outside...u want them to run at diff times
Create a Custom mode called OUT for the outside cam and a second one called IN for the one inside.
Now that you have 2 new modes go to Schedule.... Drag drop the OUT mode when u want it on and same for IN.....if u need both on at the same time, use the default ARMED ( all on).
only one mode can run at a time
any cam not in the active mode is off
any time slot not filled by a mode is off
to go thru midnight, break the time into 2 parts.... Up to 1159 pm and 12midnight to whenever on next day
