Before you pack the snacks, find the chargers, and confidently forget at least one toothbrush, give your Arlo setup a quick pre-trip once-over.

Heading out soon? Here’s what’s worth checking before you leave. A few minutes now can save a lot of frustration while you’re away — and help keep your vacation from turning into a remote troubleshooting session.

  • Battery levels — Make sure cameras have enough charge to last the trip.

  • Motion alerts — Confirm notifications are working and tuned the way you want them.

  • Activity Zones — Check that zones are covering the important areas, not your neighbor’s very dramatic tree.

  • Camera placement — Look for anything blocking the view or causing extra motion triggers.

  • Wi-Fi signal — Make sure each camera has a solid connection before you’re 600 miles away and bargaining with your router from a hotel room.
