Getting Status/Please Wait

When accessing the app, all camera displays say "getting status" from my cell phone. When accessing from a desktop, when I click play it displays "please wait". Very frustrating as the cameras aren't recording therefore I am not getting notifications.

Have you tried power cycling the base?

I will definitely try that when I get home. Is that a common solution?

That didn't resolve the issue

Might be worth resetting the base and starting fresh. Re I've all devices from Settings, My Devices and then use the Add Device button in the Devices tab to add the base and sync the cameras.
